Description

Stenostomum abbreviatum (also called Abbreviated Stenostomum, among many other common names) is a species of bivalve mollusk in the family Veneridae. It has a large, oval-shaped shell with a smooth, glossy surface and a yellowish-brown color. It is native to the Indo-Pacific region and is found in shallow waters, often in seagrass beds or coral reefs.
