Description
Schismatoclada lutea (also called Yellow Schismatoclada, among many other common names) is a small shrub or tree native to Central and South America. It has small yellow flowers and grows in tropical and subtropical forests. It is found in Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela.

Schismatoclada lutea has small, yellow flowers that are borne in clusters. The seeds are small and black. The seedlings are small and have a single, oval-shaped leaf.
Cultivation and Propagation
Schismatoclada lutea can be propagated by seed or cuttings. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Water regularly during the growing season, but reduce watering in winter. Fertilize once a year with a balanced fertilizer.
