Rudgea subsessilis (also called 'Rudgea', 'Rudgea subsessilis' and 'Rudgea subsessilis var. subsessilis', among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree native to Central and South America. It grows up to 10 meters tall and has simple, alternate leaves. It is found in wet tropical forests, from sea level to 1000 meters in elevation.
