Posoqueria trinitatis (also called 'Trinidad Limpograss', among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to Central and South America. It has a tufted growth habit and grows up to 1.5 m tall. It prefers moist soils in open, sunny areas and is often found in wet savannas, grasslands, and along riverbanks.
