Its leaves are ovate to lanceolate, and its flowers are tubular and bright white.
Uses & Benefits
Manettia leucantha is a popular ornamental plant, often used in gardens and flower beds. It has a long flowering period and produces small, fragrant white and yellow flowers. It is also used as a ground cover in shady areas and can be used to attract birds and butterflies.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Manettia leucantha has white flowers with a yellow center and a tubular shape. The seeds are small and round, and the seedlings are small and thin.
Cultivation and Propagation
Manettia leucantha can be propagated by stem cuttings or division. To propagate by stem cuttings, take a cutting that is 4-6 inches long and remove the lower leaves. Place the cutting in a moist potting mix and keep it in a warm, bright location. To propagate by division, carefully separate the root ball into two or more sections and replant each section in a separate pot.
