Ixora mearnsii (also called 'Mearns's Ixora' and 'Tahitian Ixora', among many other common names) is a small evergreen shrub native to the Society Islands in French Polynesia. It has glossy, dark green leaves and produces clusters of small, bright red flowers. It prefers to grow in full sun and moist, well-drained soil.
