It is native to Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo. It is found in dry savanna, dry shrubland, and rocky areas.
