Hoffmannia arborescens (also called Hoffmannia, among many other common names) is a shrub native to Central and South America. It has a dense, rounded crown and its leaves are alternate, elliptic-oblong, and pointed at the apex. It is found in tropical and subtropical forests, often in areas of secondary growth.
