Description
Hoffmannia aggregata (also called Hoffmannia, among many other common names) is a shrub native to Central and South America. It has a dense, rounded crown and its leaves are alternate, elliptic-oblong, and pointed at the apex. It is found in tropical and subtropical forests, often in areas of secondary growth.
Cultivation and Propagation
Hoffmannia aggregata can be propagated by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in spring in a well-drained soil and kept moist. Cuttings should be taken in late spring or early summer and rooted in a sandy soil. The plants should be grown in a sunny location and should be protected from strong winds.
