Description

Hedyotis globiceps (also called Globe-headed Hedyotis, among many other common names) is a small herbaceous plant native to India, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia. It is found in moist forests and grasslands, and can reach up to 30 cm in height. Its leaves are ovate and have a white flower with yellow anthers.

Uses & Benefits

Hedyotis globiceps is used as an ornamental plant, for erosion control, and as a medicinal plant. It is also used in traditional Chinese medicine and as a dye for fabrics.
