Guettarda humboldtensis (also called ‘Humboldt’s Velvetseed’, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree, growing up to 10 meters tall. It is native to Central and South America, and is found in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests. It has thick, leathery leaves and small, white flowers.
