Gaertnera pauciflora is a fast-growing, evergreen shrub that can reach heights of up to 4 meters. It is best grown in full sun or partial shade in well-drained soil. Propagation is usually done by cuttings or by layering. Cuttings should be taken in the spring or summer and should be about 10 cm long. Layering is done by bending a branch down to the ground and burying it in the soil. The branch should be left in place until it has rooted, at which point it can be severed from the parent plant and transplanted.
