Cinchona pyrifolia (also called Red Cinchona, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Rubiaceae family. It is native to the Andes Mountains in Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador. It grows in moist, shady forests at elevations of 2,000 to 3,000 meters.
