Description
Chomelia brachypoda (also called Two-awn Grass, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. It grows in dry, sunny areas and is often found in grasslands, savannas, and open woodlands.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Chomelia brachypoda has small, white flowers, and small, dark brown seeds. The seedlings are slender and have narrow leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Chomelia brachypoda can be propagated by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a well-drained, sandy soil mix and kept moist until germination. Cuttings should be taken from healthy plants and rooted in a moist, well-draining soil mix. Both methods require full sun and warm temperatures for best results.
