Description
Asperula fragillima (also called Fragile Woodruff, among many other common names) is an herbaceous perennial plant that grows up to 30 cm tall. It is native to Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, and is found in grasslands, meadows, and open woodlands. Its leaves are opposite, lanceolate to ovate, 1–4 cm long, and 0.5–2 cm wide.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flower of Asperula fragillima is a small white or yellowish-white flower with five petals. The seed is a small, black, oval-shaped seed. The seedling is a small, upright plant with dark green leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Asperula fragillima can be propagated from seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a well-draining soil mix and kept moist. Cuttings should be taken from young, healthy growth and rooted in a moist soil mix. Both methods should be done in a warm, humid environment.
