Description

Amaioua contracta (also called ‘Contracted Cedar’, among many other common names) is a small evergreen tree native to the Andes mountains of South America. It has a rounded crown and grows up to 15 m tall. Its leaves are leathery and elliptic-oblong in shape, and its bark is grey and smooth. It grows in humid montane forests and cloud forests.
