Description

Sorbus whiteana (also called Whitebeam, among many other common names) is a deciduous tree native to the mountains of Central and Southern Europe. It has a rounded crown and smooth grey bark. Its leaves are oval-shaped and have a white underside. It produces white flowers in the spring and red berries in the autumn. It is found in mountain forests and woodlands.

Sorbus whiteana is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a hedge. It is also used as a medicinal plant to treat various ailments.
