Description
Rubus velox (also called Pacific dewberry, among many other common names) is a species of Rubus native to western North America. It is a trailing, prickly shrub with small white flowers and black or dark purple fruits. It grows in moist, shady areas, such as along streams, in woodlands, and in thickets.

Rubus velox is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and is also used in landscaping. The fruits can be used to make jams, jellies, and pies. The leaves can be used as a tea and the root can be used as a medicinal herb.
