Description
Rubus squarrosus (also called Squarrose Bramble, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the rose family, native to Europe, Asia, and North America. It is a deciduous shrub growing to 1–2 m tall, with arching stems and long-stalked leaves composed of three leaflets. The flowers are white or pink, produced in late spring and early summer. It grows in hedgerows, woodland edges, and scrub.
Cultivation and Propagation
Rubus squarrosus is a low-growing, evergreen shrub that is native to Europe and Asia. It prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Propagation is by cuttings in spring or by seed. Cuttings should be taken from semi-ripe wood in late summer or early autumn.
