Description
Rubus nobilis (also called Noble Bramble, among many other common names) is a deciduous shrub native to Europe and Asia. It grows to a height of 2-3 meters and has a dense, spreading crown. Its bark is grey-brown and its leaves are ovate-lanceolate, glossy and dark green. It is found in moist temperate forests and scrublands.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Rubus nobilis has white flowers with five petals and yellow anthers. The seed is a small, dark brown nut, and the seedlings have two cotyledons and two small leaves.
Where to Find Rubus nobilis
Rubus nobilis is native to China and can be found in the provinces of Anhui, Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan, Hebei, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Shandong, Shanxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, and Zhejiang.
