Rubus dasycarpus (also called hairy blackberry, among many other common names) is a deciduous shrub native to Europe, Asia and North America. It grows in forests, scrub and grasslands, and can reach up to 2 meters in height. Its leaves are ovate-lanceolate and its flowers are white or pink. It produces small, black, edible fruits.
