Description
Prunus rotunda (also called Round Plum, among many other common names) is a small deciduous tree native to East Asia. It grows to a height of 8-10 meters and has a dense, spreading crown. Its bark is grey-brown and its leaves are ovate-lanceolate, glossy and dark green. It is found in moist temperate forests and scrublands.

Prunus rotunda has white flowers with five petals and yellow anthers. The seed is a small, dark brown nut, and the seedlings have a single cotyledon and two small leaves.

Prunus rotunda is native to China and can be found in the provinces of Anhui, Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan, Hebei, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Shandong, Shanxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, and Zhejiang.
