Description
Prunus changyangensis (also called Changyang peach, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the rose family Rosaceae. It is native to the Himalayas, from Afghanistan to western China, and is found in scrub and open woodland habitats at altitudes of 1,000–3,000 m.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flower of Prunus changyangensis is white, with five petals and a yellow center. The seed is a small, dark brown nut. The seedling is a small, dark green plant with a single stem.
Where to Find Prunus changyangensis
Prunus changyangensis is native to China and can be found in the provinces of Anhui, Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan, Hebei, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Shandong, Shanxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, and Zhejiang.
