Cultivation and Propagation

Potentilla saposhnikovii can be propagated by seed or division. Seeds should be sown in spring in a cold frame and the seedlings transplanted when they are large enough to handle. Division is best done in early spring or autumn. Larger divisions can be planted out direct into their permanent positions, though it is best to pot up smaller divisions and grow them on in a cold frame until they are established.
