Potentilla fulgens (also called Scarlet cinquefoil, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the rose family, native to China. It is a deciduous shrub with a woody stem and thorns, and its leaves are alternate, simple, and ovate-lanceolate. It is found in forests, thickets, and shrublands.
