Description

Potentilla asperrima (also called Asperrima Potentilla, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the mountains of Central and Southern Europe. It has a low-growing habit, with a maximum height of 10 cm and a spread of 30 cm. It has yellow flowers with five petals and deeply divided leaves. It grows in rocky areas, meadows and grasslands.

Potentilla asperrima is used as an ornamental plant in gardens, as a food plant, and as a source of honey. It can also be used in traditional medicine for treating skin diseases and as a tonic.
