Description
Hesperomeles obtusifolia (also called Obtuse-leaved Hesperomeles, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the rose family, native to South America. It grows in woodlands, thickets, and hedgerows, typically in sunny areas.

Cultivation and Propagation
Hesperomeles obtusifolia can be propagated by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in spring in a cold frame. When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and plant them out in the summer. Cuttings of half-ripe wood, 5 - 8cm with a heel, July/August in a frame. Softwood cuttings in spring in a frame. Layering in late summer. Division of suckers in the dormant season.
