Description

Cotoneaster simonsii (also called Simons' Cotoneaster, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the rose family, native to Europe and western Asia. It is a deciduous shrub growing to 1–2 m tall, with arching stems and small, glossy leaves. The flowers are white, produced in late spring and early summer. The fruit is a red pome, 1–2 cm diameter, ripening in late summer. It grows in woodland, scrub, and rocky habitats.
