Description

Cotoneaster racemiflorus (also called Racemose Cotoneaster, among many other common names) is a deciduous shrub native to the mountains of Central and Southwestern China. It has a sprawling habit, with long arching stems and white flowers. It grows in hedgerows, woodlands and scrublands, at elevations of up to 3,000 m.

Cotoneaster racemiflorus is a deciduous shrub that can grow up to 4 m tall. It prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Propagation is by seed or semi-hardwood cuttings in summer. It is best to sow the seed in a cold frame as soon as it is ripe in autumn. Semi-hardwood cuttings can be taken in late summer or early autumn.
