Description
Cotoneaster coriaceus (also called the Leathery Cotoneaster, among many other common names) is a deciduous shrub native to Central Asia. It has leathery, bright green leaves and clusters of small, white flowers in the spring, followed by bright red berries in the fall. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and is often found in woodlands, thickets, and along roadsides.
Cultivation and Propagation
Cotoneaster coriaceus is a deciduous shrub that grows best in full sun and well-drained soil. Propagation is usually done by seed, but it can also be done by cuttings or layering. Seeds should be sown in the spring, and cuttings should be taken in the summer. Layering should be done in the fall.
