Description
Amelanchier neglecta (also called Neglected Serviceberry, among many other common names) is a deciduous shrub native to North America. It grows to a height of 2-3 m and has arching branches with white flowers in spring. It prefers moist, well-drained soils and is often found in woodlands and hedgerows.

Amelanchier neglecta is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a groundcover. It is also used in hedgerows and as a windbreak.

Cultivation and Propagation

Cuttings of half-ripe wood, 5 - 8 cm long with a heel, can be taken in summer and planted in a cold frame.
