Sageretia subcaudata (also called Chinese Bird-thorn, among many other common names) is a deciduous shrub native to China. It grows to a height of up to 4 m and has a rounded crown. Its bark is grey and smooth, while its leaves are glossy and dark green. It grows in dry, rocky areas and can tolerate drought.
