Rhamnus liukiuensis (also called Ryukyu buckthorn, among many other common names) is a species of flowering shrub native to Japan and the Ryukyu Islands. It has an upright form with small, dark green leaves and clusters of small, white flowers. It is found in open woodlands and scrub habitats.
