Description

Colubrina retusa (also called Littleleaf Leadwood, among many other common names) is a small tree or shrub native to the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and northern South America. It has a rounded crown and a short trunk, and grows to a height of up to 10 m. Its leaves are alternate, simple, and oblong-ovate, with a smooth margin. It prefers sandy soils in coastal areas and is often found in mangroves.
