Description
Xanthorhiza simplicissima (also called Yellowroot, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the eastern United States and Canada. It has compound leaves and small yellow flowers. It prefers moist, shady habitats and can be found in meadows, forests, and along streams.
