Description
Ranunculus lacerus (also called Lacerous Buttercup, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Europe and Asia. It has a slender, erect stem and grows to a height of about 30 cm. The leaves are ovate-lanceolate, about 2-3 cm long and 1-2 cm wide, with serrated margins. It grows in moist meadows, pastures, and other wet areas.

The flower of Ranunculus lacerus is a yellow, five-petaled flower with a yellow center. The seed is a small, round, black seed. The seedlings are small, with a single stem and a few leaves.

Ranunculus lacerus can be found in the mountains of Central Asia, including in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
