Drypetes glaberrima is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and parks, and is also used for its timber. It has medicinal uses, such as treating fever, malaria, and dysentery. The leaves can be used as a poultice for wounds and boils, and the bark can be used to treat skin diseases.
