Description
Lysimachia alpestris (also called alpine loosestrife, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to China, Japan and Korea. It is a low-growing plant with small, white, star-shaped flowers and linear, opposite leaves. It grows in moist habitats, such as near streams and ponds.

The flowers of Lysimachia alpestris are small, yellow and star-shaped. The seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings have long, slender stems with small, oval-shaped leaves.
