Description

Embelia dasythyrsa (also called Hairy Embelia, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree that is native to India and Sri Lanka. It grows up to 5 m tall and has alternate, oblong-lanceolate leaves that are 4-7 cm long and 1-2 cm wide. The flowers are white, fragrant, and clustered in axillary cymes. The fruits are globose, red, and fleshy.
