Description
Androsace filiformis (also called Thread-Leaved Rock-Jasmine, among many other common names) is a perennial plant with basal rosettes of small, oval-shaped leaves and white, yellow, or pink flowers. It is native to the mountains of Europe and Asia, and is found in rocky, alpine habitats.

Androsace filiformis has white, pink or purple flowers with five petals. The seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings are small and have a single pair of leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Androsace filiformis is a low-growing, evergreen perennial that grows in moist, acidic soils. It can be propagated by seed or division. Seeds should be sown in spring or early summer in a cold frame. Divisions should be taken in late summer or early autumn and planted in a cold frame or sheltered spot outdoors.
