Description
Althenia australis (also called Southern Althenia, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to South America. It has long, lance-shaped leaves and produces clusters of star-shaped flowers in shades of pink, white, and yellow. It grows in moist, well-drained soils in open woodlands and grasslands.
