Description

Zygochloa paradoxa (also called Paradox Grass, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to the grasslands of Central and South America. It grows in clumps up to 1 meter tall and has thin, wiry stems with narrow, pointed leaves. It prefers moist, well-drained soils and full sun.

Zygochloa paradoxa is used as an ornamental grass in gardens and for landscaping. It is also used for erosion control and as a turf grass in golf courses and other sports fields.
