Zea diploperennis (also called Diploperennis Corn, among many other common names) is a species of grass native to Central and South America. It is an annual grass, growing in dense clumps with stems up to 16 m tall and 2 cm in diameter. It is found in moist forests, along streams, and in other areas with high humidity. It is also found in Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras.
