Description
Tripogon leptophyllus (also called Narrow-leaved Grass, among many other common names) is a species of grass native to Africa and Asia. It is a perennial grass with a tufted growth habit and long, narrow leaves. It is found in dry, sandy soils in arid and semi-arid regions of Africa and Asia.

Tripogon leptophyllus is used as a fodder crop and as a soil-binding plant in hilly areas.
