Description
Trichoneura ciliata (also called Bristly Lovegrass, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to Africa. It typically grows in areas with sandy soils and is found in grasslands, savannas, and dry woodlands.
Uses & Benefits
Trichoneura ciliata is used as a forage grass for livestock, as an ornamental plant in gardens, and as a soil stabilizer.

Flower: small, white, star-shaped with five petals. Seed: small, black, oval-shaped. Seedlings: small, oval-shaped leaves with pointed tips.
Cultivation and Propagation
Trichoneura ciliata can be propagated by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a well-draining, sandy soil mix. Cuttings should be taken from the tips of the stems and rooted in a moist, well-draining soil mix. The plants should be kept in a warm, humid environment with bright, indirect light.
