Tongpeia fungosa (also called Fungose Tongpeia, among many other common names) is a small tree or shrub native to Central and South America. It has dark green, glossy leaves and produces small, white flowers that develop into red, edible fruits. It grows in tropical and subtropical climates, in areas with high humidity and plenty of rainfall. It is found in rainforests, cloud forests, and other moist habitats.
