Description

Stipa media (also called Intermediate Needlegrass, among many other common names) is a species of grass native to the Caucasus region of Eurasia. It is an evergreen perennial grass growing to 0.6 m (2ft) by 0.3 m (1ft in). It is found in dry, sunny, open grasslands and rocky hillsides.

Uses & Benefits

Stipa media is used as an ornamental grass in gardens and landscaping. It is also used as a forage crop for livestock, and as a soil stabilizer.

Stipa media is a perennial grass native to Europe and Asia. It is drought-tolerant and prefers full sun. It can be propagated by seed or division.
