Description
Stipa karjaginii (also called Karjagin's Needlegrass, among many other common names) is a perennial grass native to the Mediterranean region. It has long, thin, needle-like leaves and grows in dry, sandy soils. It is often found in open meadows, grasslands, and other disturbed areas.
Uses & Benefits
Stipa karjaginii is used as an ornamental grass and for erosion control. It is also used as a windbreak and forage for livestock.
