Stipa bavarica (also called Bavarian Needlegrass, among many other common names) is a species of grass native to Europe. It grows up to 1m tall, with a thin, wiry stem and small, oval leaves. It prefers dry, sandy soils and is often found in grasslands.

Stipa bavarica is a perennial grass native to the steppes of Central Asia. It is a low-growing grass with a clumping habit, and is best grown in full sun in well-drained soil.
