Stipa austromongolica (also called 'Mongolian Needlegrass', among many other common names) is a species of grass in the genus Stipa. It is native to temperate Asia, from Mongolia to China and Japan. It grows in dry, open grasslands and meadows at elevations of 1000-3000 m. It has long, thin, wiry leaves and small, yellow-green flowers.
